Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治同上. 麥門冬一兩, 石菖蒲ㆍ枸杞子ㆍ甘菊各五錢, 遠志二錢半. 右爲末, 蜜丸梧子大, 熟水下三十丸. 《得效》

Translation

Treats the same as above. Ophiopogon 1 nyang; acorus, lycium fruit and chrysanthemum 5 don each; polygala 2 don 5 pun. Powder them, make honey pills the size of parasol-tree seeds, and take thirty down with boiled water. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The alternative to the formula above for the same proud flesh, and it treats the heart instead of the eye — acorus and polygala to open the heart's communication, ophiopogon to cool it.
