Treats unease when anything is to be done, with dizziness and a gnawing at the stomach; this is heart and spleen vacuity and timidity. It is a divine preparation for dizziness where qi and blood are damaged and there is phlegm rheum. White atractylodes 1 don 5 pun; tangerine peel (salt-water washed, the white removed), pinellia (processed) and white poria 1 don each; angelica, white peony and dried fresh rehmannia 7 pun each; ginseng, poria with pine root, ophiopogon and polygala (processed) 5 pun each; chuanxiong and licorice 3 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Du)

Clinical commentary 臨床

臨事不寧 — uneasy whenever something has to be done. A dizziness that comes on with anticipation, treated as heart and spleen vacuity rather than as wind, and the Hoechun calls the formula a 仙劑 for it. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
