Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治陽明經血熱, 上下牙床腫痛, 紅爛肉縮, 齒根露者. 石膏(煆醋淬) 二兩, 當歸(酒洗)ㆍ生地黃(酒洗)ㆍ梔子(鹽水炒)ㆍ牡丹皮 各一兩, 黃連(酒炒)ㆍ知母ㆍ葛根ㆍ防風 各七錢, 升麻ㆍ白芷 各五錢, 生甘草節 四錢. 右爲末, 蒸餠和丸菉豆大, 米飮下百丸. 《回春》
Translation
Treats blood heat in the yang brightness channel, with the gums above and below swollen and painful, red and ulcerated, the flesh shrunk and the tooth roots bare. Gypsum (calcined and vinegar-quenched) 2 nyang; angelica (wine-washed), fresh rehmannia (wine-washed), gardenia (salt-water fried) and tree peony bark 1 nyang each; coptis (wine-fried), anemarrhena, pueraria and saposhnikovia 7 don each; cimicifuga and angelica dahurica 5 don each; raw licorice nodes 4 don.
