Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治牙床腫痛, 動搖黑爛脫落, 皆屬手足陽明二經. 石膏末 二匙, 梔子(炒)ㆍ連翹ㆍ牡丹皮ㆍ條芩 各一錢, 生地黃(酒洗)ㆍ黃連(炒) 各八分, 升麻ㆍ白芍藥(煨)ㆍ桔梗 各七分, 藿香 五分, 甘草 三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎, 食遠服. 《回春》

Translation

Treats the gums swollen and painful, the teeth loose, blackened, decayed and falling out, all of which belong to the two yang brightness channels of hand and foot. Powdered gypsum 2 spoonfuls; gardenia (stir-fried), forsythia, tree peony bark and sliced scutellaria 1 don each; fresh rehmannia (wine-washed) and coptis (stir-fried) 8 pun each; cimicifuga, white peony (roasted) and platycodon 7 pun each; agastache 5 pun; licorice 3 pun. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take well after food. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Ahchi)
