Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治穀疸. 茵蔯 三錢, 大黃ㆍ梔子 各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《得效》
Translation
Treats grain jaundice. Virgate wormwood 3 don, rhubarb and gardenia 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Zhongjing's Yinchenhao Tang, the parent of every yang jaundice formula in this chapter and the one the tradition has used longest for the purpose. Three medicinals: virgate wormwood at triple weight to lead the damp out through the urine, gardenia to clear the heat through the three burners, rhubarb to take it out below.
