Translation

Treats damp heat. Atractylodes lancea and phellodendron in equal parts. Powder them, make water-drop pills and take. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Seup)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two medicinals, and one of the most durable formulas in the whole tradition. Atractylodes lancea dries the damp and phellodendron clears the heat, and because phellodendron acts below, the pair goes to the lower burner. The section it belongs to opens with a claim worth recording: among the six qi, damp heat accounts for eight or nine cases in ten.
