Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治感風寒卒瘂及失音通用. 荊芥穗ㆍ紫蘇葉ㆍ木通ㆍ橘紅ㆍ當歸ㆍ辣桂ㆍ石菖蒲各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《直指》

Translation

Treats sudden muteness from contracting wind cold, and is used generally for loss of voice. Schizonepeta spike, perilla leaf, akebia, red tangerine peel, angelica, cinnamon and acorus 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Jikji 直指 (Donguibogam · Seongeum)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Seven medicinals at one don each — two to open the surface, cinnamon to warm what the cold shut, and acorus and akebia to open the passage.
