Clinical commentary 臨床

Spleen diarrhoea in this chapter means a stool loosened by the spleen's failure to hold, with fullness and poor appetite rather than urgency or pain. The Hoechun's version of the formula leans further toward the qi-moving drugs — cyperus, amomum, magnolia bark — than the familiar one, which makes it the right choice when the complaint is as much bloating as looseness. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
