Translation

Removes the Kidney channel's fire, dries the damp of the lower burner, and treats the Yin fire whose Qi rises from below the navel. Phellodendron, a single flavor, fried to a brown color, powdered and bound with water into pills; taken on an empty stomach. Also called Daebo-hwan. — Immun 入門 · Jeongjeon 正傳 (Donguibogam · Hwa)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The bottom of the five-phase set, and the one with the paradoxical alias — a pure fire-drainer that tradition also calls the Great Supplementation Pill, because in the kidney's economy quelling the fire is saving the water. The chapter's whole vacuous-fire doctrine folded into a nickname. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
