Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
何首烏丸, 延年益壽. 取一斤, 泔浸曬乾, 切片, 以初男乳汁拌曬一二次, 擣末, 棗肉和丸梧子大, 初服二十丸, 日加十丸, 毋過百丸, 空心溫酒ㆍ鹽湯下. 此藥非陽虛甚者, 不可單服. 《入門》
Translation
Hasuo-hwan, which extends the years and lengthens life: take 1 geun of the root, steep it in rice-washing water and sun it dry, cut it into slices, mix it with the milk of a woman nursing her first son and sun it once or twice, pound it to a powder, and make pills the size of paulownia seeds with jujube flesh; begin with twenty pills and add ten a day, not exceeding a hundred, taken on an empty stomach with warm wine or salt water.
