Translation
Goedam-hwan, which brightens the eyes, blackens the hair, firms the teeth and extends the years: on the first snake day of the tenth month gather pagoda tree fruit, put it into an earthenware jar and seal the mouth, lute it tight with salt clay, and bury it three feet down in the earth at the foot of a north-facing wall; on the eighth day of the twelfth month take it out, remove the husks and take the black seeds, pack them inside an ox gallbladder and hang it high to dry in the shade; on the Clear and Bright day of the following year take it out, and each morning on an empty stomach swallow one seed, two on the second day, increasing gradually to fifteen, and thereafter reducing by one a day, round and round again. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Sinhyeong)
