Translation
Treats vacuity phlegm and old phlegm, thick and gluey, lodged in the chest and clinging along the stomach and intestines. Use this paste to induce vomiting and purging without causing vacuity detriment. In conditions such as wasting, taxation, drum distension and dysphagia, add it to supplementing medicines to remove phlegm accumulation, and full success may be had. Taking this is gentler than the Overturn the Granary method. For repletion phlegm and new phlegm generally: dry it with arisaema and pinellia, disperse it with red tangerine peel and bitter orange, percolate it off with polyporus and poria, downbear it with scutellaria and coptis, free its passage with croton and aconite, and moisten it downward with bamboo sap and trichosanthes. See the Miscellaneous Formulas chapter for details. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Damum)
