Crossing Peace Pill
Gyotae-hwan
한글 교태환 · Pinyin Jiao Tai Wan
The rhubarb's preparation is the formula's centerpiece: steeped a day and night in a decoction of Korean angelica, safflower, evodia, and dried lacquer (1 nyang each), sliced and sun-dried, tossed again with wine and dried — nine times steamed and nine times sun-dried before use. Powdered and bound with a leaven paste beaten in ginger juice into pills the size of mung beans; 70–80 pills with plain boiled water.

Translation
Treats glomus oppression and gnawing in the chest — when the stool is loose the chest is rather glad; when the stool is bound the oppression in the chest is hard to bear. Rhubarb 4 nyang (steeped a day and night in water decocted with Korean angelica, safflower, evodia, and dried lacquer, 1 nyang each; sliced and sun-dried, tossed again with wine and sun-dried — nine times steamed, nine times sun-dried before use); coptis (ginger-juice-soaked and fried with yellow earth), earth-fried white atractylodes, and scalded-fried evodia, 2 nyang each; angelica tail (wine-washed) 1 nyang 3 don; unripe bitter orange 1 nyang. Powder the above and bind with a leaven paste beaten in ginger juice into pills the size of mung beans; take 70–80 pills with plain boiled water. — Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Naesang)
