Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治胎漏腹痛. 熟地黃ㆍ當歸ㆍ川芎ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ阿膠珠ㆍ條芩ㆍ白朮ㆍ縮砂ㆍ艾葉ㆍ香附子(炒) 各一錢. 右剉作一貼, 入糯米一撮, 水煎, 空心服. 《回春》

Translation

Treats uterine spotting with abdominal pain. Cooked rehmannia, angelica, chuanxiong, white peony, ass-hide glue beads, slender scutellaria, white atractylodes, amomum, mugwort leaf and cyperus (stir-fried) 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, add a pinch of glutinous rice, decoct in water and take on an empty stomach. — Manbyeong Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The fullest of the four: Samul-tang and the glue-and-mugwort pair with scutellaria and white atractylodes added — the two the chapter calls the sagely medicines for quieting the foetus at 1.16.4. Glutinous rice as a vehicle recurs through this section.
