Translation

Treats wind evil entering the ear with an empty ringing. Chuanxiong, angelica and asarum 1 don each; cinnamon, acorus and angelica dahurica 7 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger, 2 jujubes and 7 perilla leaves, decoct in water and take after food. — Jikji 直指 (Donguibogam · I)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The Jikji gives it as the second step: Oryeong-san and Cheongmokhyang-won first to scatter the evil, then this to harmonize and nourish. 4.4.7 sets out that order, and it is the chapter's one worked sequence. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
