Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治吐衄便尿一切失血. 眞蒲黃ㆍ地楡 各一兩, 白芷 五錢, 甘草 二錢半. 右爲末, 每服四錢, 溫酒調服. 《丹心》
Translation
Treats vomiting, nosebleed, bloody stool and bloody urine — all loss of blood. True cattail pollen and sanguisorba 1 nyang each; angelica dahurica 5 don; licorice 2 don 5 pun. Powder them and take 4 don at a dose stirred into warm wine. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Hyeol)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Cattail pollen for the upper routes and sanguisorba for the lower, together for any route. Angelica dahurica is the odd one — acrid and dispersing — and it is there so the two stanchers do not leave a clot behind. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
