Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治人無故忽然振寒, 皮膚麴塵出, 小便赤澁, 大便秘, 諸藥不除, 因爲久黃. 葶藶子(炒) 五錢, 苦參ㆍ黃連ㆍ瓜蔕ㆍ黃柏ㆍ大黃 各二錢半. 右爲末, 每一錢, 米飮調服, 當吐下, 消息服之. 《得效》
Translation
Treats a person who without cause suddenly shivers with cold, the skin throwing off a dust like spent yeast, the urine red and rough, the stool bound, no medicine clearing it, so that it becomes a long-standing jaundice. Lepidium seed (stir-fried) 5 don; sophora, coptis, melon stalk, phellodendron and rhubarb 2.5 don each. Powder them and take 1 don at a time stirred into rice broth; vomiting and purging should follow, and the dose is adjusted according to how it goes. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)
