治砂石淋, 每尿時器中剝剝有聲, 痛楚不堪. 杜牛膝<span class='sochu'>卽虎杖根</span>細剉, 每一合, 水五盞煎耗其四, 留其一, 去滓, 以麝香ㆍ乳香 各少許硏調服之. 《得效》
Translation
Treats sand and stone strangury, where at each urination there is a rattling sound in the vessel and the pain is beyond bearing. Bushy knotweed root <span class='sochu'>that is, hojanggeun</span> finely cut, a hop at a time; boil in five jan of water until four are gone and one remains, strain off the dregs, and take with a little musk and frankincense ground in. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon)
