Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
生地黃 三斗, 東向爬葦火煎三沸, 納淸漆 二升, 以荊七攪之. 日移一尺, 納黃丹 三兩. 復移一尺, 內瓜子汁 三升. 復移一尺, 納大黃末 三兩. 微火煎, 勿令焦, 丸如梧子大. 空心下一丸. 三日濁血下鼻中, 二十日諸蟲皆下, 五十日百病皆愈, 面有光澤. 《得效》
Translation
Fresh rehmannia 3 mal, boiled to three bubblings over a fire of east-facing reed; add 2 seung of clear lacquer and stir with a vitex stick. When the sun has moved a cheok, add 3 nyang of minium; when it has moved another cheok, add 3 seung of gourd-seed juice; when it has moved another, add 3 nyang of powdered rhubarb. Boil over a gentle fire without letting it scorch, and make pills the size of a firmiana seed. Take one on an empty stomach. In three days turbid blood comes down from the nose; in twenty days all the worms come down; in fifty days the hundred diseases are healed and the face has a sheen. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Chung)
