Translation
Treats dysentery with abdominal pain. Old fresh ginger and spring tea leaf, equal parts, decocted together. Ginger can assist the yang and tea can assist the yin, and besides, both can resolve summerheat toxin and the toxin of wine and food. Without asking whether it is red or white, cold or hot, or an epidemic dysentery with abdominal pain, it is used for all. For a hot dysentery leave the ginger skin on; for a cold dysentery take the skin off. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 · Jikji 直指 · Bonchogang 本草 (Donguibogam · Daebyeon)
