Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

瀉三焦火, 止嗽化痰, 淸頭目. 黃連ㆍ黃柏ㆍ黃芩(幷酒炒)ㆍ梔子各一兩, 大黃(煨)ㆍ人參ㆍ半夏ㆍ桔梗各五錢. 右爲末, 滴水爲丸梧子大, 茶淸下三十丸. 《必用》

Translation

Drains the triple burner's fire, stops cough, transforms phlegm, and clears head and eyes. Coptis, phellodendron, and scutellaria (all wine-fried) with gardenia, 1 nyang each; ember-roasted rhubarb, ginseng, pinellia, and platycodon, 5 don each. Powder the above and bind with water, drop by drop, into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; send 30 pills down with clear tea. — Piryong 必用 (Donguibogam · Hwa)

The golden-flower four — wine-fried so they rise — with a working crew attached: roasted rhubarb sweeping below, pinellia and platycodon minding the phlegm the fire cooks up, and a stroke of ginseng so the campaign doesn't bankrupt the Qi.
