Translation
Treats wind damp. Cinnamon twig 4 don; licorice, aconite (blast-fried) and white atractylodes 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take; a slight sweat and it resolves. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Seup)
Clinical commentary 臨床
微汗卽解 — a slight sweat and it resolves — is the whole instruction, and the chapter explains why it must be slight at 3.8.2.3. Zhongjing is asked there why sweating fails to cure wind damp, and answers that a great sweat takes the wind away and leaves the damp behind; only a sweat that comes of itself, faintly, carries both.
That is the single most useful point in this section, and it governs all four of the exterior formulas here.
