Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治風濕, 身煩疼, 不能轉側. 白朮三錢, 附子(炮)ㆍ甘草(灸) 各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑七棗二, 水煎服. 《仲景》

Translation

Treats wind damp with the body vexed and painful and unable to turn from side to side. White atractylodes 3 don; aconite (blast-fried) and licorice (mix-fried) 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, add 7 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take. — Junggyeong 仲景 (Donguibogam · Seup)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Zhongjing's formula, and the indication states the severity plainly: unable to turn from side to side. That is the degree of pain at which a patient cannot change position in bed, and it distinguishes this from the two above. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
