Translation

Treats head wind, or where it attacks the eyes. Chuanxiong, asarum, angelica dahurica, gypsum, ligusticum, gleditsia, notopterygium, saposhnikovia, schizonepeta, platycodon, vitex fruit, chrysanthemum, mint and licorice 5 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Du)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Fourteen medicinals at 5 pun each — the chapter's habit in its wind formulas, where the range of the attack matters more than the weight of any one thing. Gypsum alone is cold, and it is what keeps the rest from drying the head out. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
