Translation

Treats a woman's qi stagnant in the channels from the seven affects and six constraints, with numbness and impediment of the hands and feet. Cut up as one packet with 3 slices of ginger, decoct, and take with bamboo sap and ginger juice stirred in. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Pi)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The one formula in the group written for a cause rather than a tissue: numbness from constraint, in a woman, with the seven affects named. Perilla and cyperus head it, arisaema and pinellia take the phlegm the constraint has gathered, and a single angelica keeps the blood in view. Bamboo sap stirred in at the end is for the phlegm heat that constraint turns into. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
