Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治一切濕熱鬱滯, 能宣通氣血. 黑丑<span class='sochu'>頭末</span>ㆍ滑石 各四兩, 大黃ㆍ黃芩 各二兩. 右末, 水丸小豆大. 溫水下十丸至十五丸, 以利爲度. 一名藏用丸, 一名顯仁丸. 《宣明》 加入法, 濕熱腰痛或久雨, 加甘遂, 遍身走注腫痛, 加白芥子. 熱毒腫痛, 久旱, 加朴硝, 氣血滯, 腸胃秘澁, 加郁李仁, 腰腿沈重, 加商陸. 《入門》
Translation
Treats all damp heat depressed and stagnant; it can diffuse and free the qi and blood. Black morning glory seed <span class='sochu'>first powder</span> and talc 4 nyang each; rhubarb and scutellaria 2 nyang each. Powder them and make water pills the size of a small bean. Take ten to fifteen down with warm water, taking purging as the measure. It is also called Store and Use Pill, and also Manifest Benevolence Pill. Method of additions: for damp heat lumbar pain, or in long rains, add kansui; for swelling and pain running through the whole body, add white mustard seed; for heat toxin with swelling and pain, or in long drought, add crude mirabilite; where qi and blood are stagnant and the intestines and stomach bound and rough, add bush cherry kernel; for the lumbus and legs heavy and sinking, add phytolacca. — Seonmyeongnon 宣明 (Donguibogam · Ha)
