Translation

Treats cold mounting with cold pain below the navel. Angelica 1 don 2 pun; aconite, cinnamon and fennel 1 don each; white peony and bupleurum 9 pun each; corydalis, toosendan and poria 7 pun each; alisma 5 pun. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take on an empty stomach. — Uihak Gangmok 綱目 (Donguibogam · Jeoneum)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Fennel and toosendan are the chapter's own pair: 茴香 warms the lower burner and 川練子 cools and moves it, and almost every mounting formula here has one or both. **Contains aconite, which is toxic.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
