Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治穀脹, 亦治氣脹. 三稜ㆍ蓬朮ㆍ靑皮ㆍ陳皮ㆍ藿香ㆍ半夏麴ㆍ桔梗ㆍ益智仁ㆍ香附子ㆍ枳殼各一錢, 甘草二分半. 右剉, 作一貼, 入薑五棗二, 水煎服. 《入門》

Translation

Treats grain distension; it also treats qi distension. Sparganium, curcuma, green tangerine peel, tangerine peel, agastache, fermented pinellia, platycodon, alpinia, cyperus and bitter orange 1 don each; licorice 2.5 pun. Cut up, make one packet, add 5 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes, decoct in water and take. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Changman)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Ten medicinals at an even don and licorice held to two and a half pun — the contrast is the design. Sparganium and curcuma break, the two peels and cyperus move, and agastache and alpinia warm and rouse the stomach. Nothing purges. This is the mild counterpart to the formula above: same indication, opposite force.
