Translation

Treats vacuity cold of the origin below with cold pain of navel and abdomen. Aconite, iris seed, cnidium seed, costus, cinnamon and evodia in equal parts. Powder them, add white flour, mix with ginger juice into a paste, make a cake and stick it on the navel, binding it on with silk. — Uirim 醫林 (Donguibogam · Je)

Clinical commentary 臨床

代灸 — in place of moxa. Six warm medicinals in a flour-and-ginger cake bound over the navel, for a patient who needs the heat but not the fire. The Urine chapter's 1.11 navel methods are the same idea used for retention. **Contains aconite, which is toxic.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
