Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治難産, 及漏血胎乾者, 立效. 黃蜀葵子硏爲末, 每取二錢, 以酒調, 濾去渣, 溫服. 《丹心》 一方, 用蜀葵花爲末, 熱酒調下一錢, 卽效. 《正傳》 歌曰, 黃葵子炒百餘粒, 硏爛酒調濟窘急, 若患臨危難産時, 免得全家俱哭泣. 《正傳》
Translation
Treats difficult birth, and bleeding with the passage gone dry; the effect follows at once. Musk mallow seed ground to a powder, 2 don at a time stirred into wine, the dregs strained off and taken warm. Another formula uses hollyhock flower powdered, 1 don stirred into hot wine, and the effect follows. A verse says: a hundred and more musk mallow seeds, stir-fried, ground fine and stirred into wine relieve the straits; when the trouble comes and the birth is at its most perilous, it spares the whole household their weeping. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Buin)
