Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治久近頭風, 發則頑痺麻痒不勝爬搔, 或生氣塊, 停痰嘔吐, 飮食不入. 兩服可斷根. 南星ㆍ半夏(幷湯洗七次)ㆍ川烏(生)ㆍ白芷 各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎入薑汁半盞調服. 頭上塊子鍼之效. 《丹心》
Translation
Treats head wind of long or recent standing, which on breaking out gives stubborn numbness and an itch beyond scratching, or raises a lump of qi, or lodges phlegm with vomiting so that food and drink do not go in. Two doses can cut off the root. Arisaema and pinellia, both washed seven times in hot water, aconite main root raw, and angelica dahurica 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and stir in half a jan of ginger juice. A lump on the head is effectively needled.
