Clinical commentary 臨床

Sixteen herbs doing four stated jobs at once — level the Liver, unbind constraint, clear fire and transform phlegm, and boost the Heart Blood. The design is the Warm the Gallbladder base with acorus and cyperus promoted to lead, so that the opening and unbinding come first and the phlegm-clearing follows. It is the gentlest of the chapter's epilepsy formulas and the only one built entirely from herbs rather than minerals. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
