Translation

Treats the deep water-flaw screen of a blue-green colour. Vitex, schizonepeta spikes, bitter bamboo leaf and licorice 1 don 5 pun each; gardenia 7 pun 5 ri. Cut up as one packet, add seven mint leaves, and decoct in water. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Five medicinals and all of them light — the formula for a deep opacity with a blue cast, which the chapter reads as heat that has sunk rather than heat that is raging. So the treatment is cooling without weight: bamboo leaf and gardenia to drain through the urine, vitex and mint to clear the head. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
