Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治肝經熱毒, 逆順生瞖, 血灌瞳人, 羞明多淚. 密蒙花ㆍ甘菊ㆍ白蒺藜ㆍ羌活ㆍ草決明ㆍ車前子ㆍ黃芩ㆍ草龍膽ㆍ甘草各等分. 右爲末, 每二錢, 米飮調下. 《得效》

Translation

Treats liver channel heat toxin with a screen breeding against or with the grain, blood flooding the pupil, shrinking from light and much tearing. Buddleia flower, chrysanthemum, tribulus, notopterygium, cassia seed, plantago seed, scutellaria, gentian and licorice in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time stirred into rice water. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · An)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Blood flooding the pupil is a hyphaema, and this is the formula the chapter gives for it — plantago seed and gentian leading, both draining downward, with the usual screen group alongside.
