Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治血瘕, 血積, 經候不通. 桃仁ㆍ大黃ㆍ朴硝 各二兩, 䖟蟲 五錢. 右爲末, 好醋二升半, 銀石器中, 慢火煎取一升半. 下桃仁ㆍ大黃ㆍ䖟蟲攪千下, 次下朴硝, 更熟攪, 良久出之, 丸如梧子大. 前一日不吃晩飯, 五更初, 溫酒呑下五丸, 取下惡物. 未下再服, 見鮮血卽止藥. 《良方》
Translation
Treats blood conglomeration, blood accumulation and menses that do not pass. Peach kernel, rhubarb and mirabilite 2 nyang each; tabanus 5 don. Powder them; take 2.5 seung of good vinegar and reduce it over a slow fire in a silver or stone vessel to 1.5 seung. Put in the peach kernel, rhubarb and tabanus and stir a thousand strokes, then put in the mirabilite, stir until well cooked, and after a good while take it out; form pills the size of a firmiana seed. The day before, eat no evening meal; at the first watch before dawn take five pills down with warm wine, to bring down the foul matter.
