Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

因酒發熱, 用靑黛ㆍ瓜蔞仁爲末, 入薑汁, 每日服數匙, 三日而安. 《丹心》

Translation

For heat effusion arising from wine: powder natural indigo and trichosanthes seed, stir into ginger juice, and take several spoonfuls daily — by the third day, one is settled. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Hwa)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two flavors and a spoon of ginger juice for the heat that came out of a bottle — indigo's cold blue against the flush, trichosanthes seed moistening what the drinking dried. The wine chapter's pharmacology, reappearing in the fire chapter with a three-day promise attached. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
