Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治同上. 蒼朮ㆍ黃連(薑汁炒)ㆍ陳皮ㆍ半夏ㆍ赤茯苓ㆍ神麴 各一錢, 吳茱萸(炒)ㆍ縮砂 各五分, 甘草 三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 薑三片, 水煎服. 《回春》

Translation

Treats the same as the above. Atractylodes, ginger-juice-fried coptis, tangerine peel, pinellia, red poria, and medicated leaven, 1 don each; dry-fried evodia and amomum, 5 fun each; licorice 3 fun. Cut the above, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger, decoct in water and take. — Hoechun 回春 (Donguibogam · Naesang)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The decoction version of Changryeon-hwan, for when the acid is active rather than habitual — same coptis-and-evodia core, but at two to one rather than seasonally adjusted, with medicated leaven and amomum added because a decoction is given to someone whose last meal is still sitting there.
