Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治濕溫. 赤茯苓ㆍ蒼朮ㆍ白朮ㆍ乾薑ㆍ桂心ㆍ甘草各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《得效》

Translation

Treats damp warmth. Red poria, atractylodes lancea, white atractylodes, dry ginger, cinnamon heart and licorice 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Seup)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The formula above with atractylodes lancea and licorice in place of the alisma — drier, and without the draining. Damp warmth is summerheat contracted on top of damp already present, and the section warns at 3.8.6.1 that it must not be sweated: sweating brings loss of speech, deafness and a blue cast to the body, and a patient who dies of that was killed by the physician. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
