Supplement the Channels and Secure the True Decoction

Cut the above; setting the scutellaria aside, decoct the rest in two cups of water down to one cup and seven fun, then add the scutellaria and decoct to one cup. Take hot on an empty stomach, pressed down afterward with a good meal. The source quotes the Pulse Rhymes for its rationale: flooding that lasts becomes white discharge, and long spotting withers bone and marrow — meaning the illness begins as bleeding, and when the Blood grows scant the Yang is lost with it, so that the white slippery matter flows without ceasing and the sea of Blood is about to run dry.

Translation
Treats white discharge. The Pulse Rhymes say: flooding that lasts many days becomes white discharge, and spotting long continued withers the bones and marrow. This means the illness begins as blood flooding; grown long, the Blood becomes scant, and the Yang is lost along with it — hence the white slippery matter flows down without ceasing, and the sea of Blood is about to run dry. Finely powdered dried ginger and ginseng, 2 don each; bush cherry kernel pounded to a paste, bupleurum, roasted licorice, tangerine peel with the white pith retained, and raw scutellaria, 1 don each; white hollyhock flowers, 7 blossoms. Cut the above; setting the scutellaria aside, decoct the rest in two cups of water down to one cup seven fun, then add the scutellaria and decoct to one cup. Take hot on an empty stomach, pressing it down afterward with a good meal. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Po)
