Clinical commentary 臨床

The Jeonggam's version of the general wind formula, and the difference from the Jufang's Oyaksungi-san that stands behind both is the addition of the four-gentlemen group — ginseng, atractylodes, poria, licorice — so that a formula of dispersing drugs has a supplementing floor under it. That is the sixteenth century improving on the twelfth, and it is the pattern of almost every late Ming revision in this chapter. Seventeen drugs at six fun each is thin, which for a medicine taken over months is the point. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
