Clinical commentary 臨床

Two drugs under two names. The Essence chapter gives this pill for emission in dreams and the Urine chapter gives it for white turbidity, and the reasoning is the same in both places: pinellia frees and polyporus conducts water, so what has closed is opened rather than locked down. Registering it here keeps the name the Urine chapter actually uses. 白濁, white turbidity, is urine that runs cloudy, and the chapter reads it as damp heat pouring into the bladder rather than as a loss of essence — which is why the answer is a diuretic pair and not a tonic. **Contains pinellia, which is toxic raw.
