Clinical commentary 臨床

Shoulder and arm pain attributed to damp phlegm pouring into the limb, and the formula is the two-ancient-herbs decoction with the two atractylodes raised and clematis added as the envoy to the arm. The specific localization is what makes it useful: this is the Bogam's shoulder formula, and frozen shoulder and rotator-cuff pain are what it was being used for. Wine-fried scutellaria is the heat component and the rest is drying. A coherent and relatively safe prescription, with arisaema the only drug needing care. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
