Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

久服有孕, 及治月水參差不調. 四製香附末十二兩 <span class='sochu'>製法見胞門</span>, 川芎ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ當歸ㆍ熟地黃ㆍ阿膠珠ㆍ陳艾葉各二兩. 右爲末, 用石榴一枚(連皮搗碎)煎水打糊, 和丸梧子大. 每百丸, 空心, 醋湯下. 《廣嗣》

Translation

Taken long, it brings pregnancy; and it treats menses coming unevenly and out of order. Four-processed cyperus powder 12 nyang <span class='sochu'>— the method of processing is in the Womb chapter —</span>; cnidium, white peony, Korean angelica, prepared rehmannia, pearled ass-hide glue, and aged mugwort leaf, 2 nyang each. Powder the above; take one pomegranate, pounded and crushed with its skin, decoct it in water and strike a paste with the liquid, and bind pills the size of parasol-tree seeds. The women's long-course counterpart to the male seed pills — twelve ounces of four-processed cyperus leading the Four Substances, with glue and aged mugwort to hold what the cycle keeps losing.
