Translation

Treats heat sores or spots on the face. Typhonium, litharge, white poria, angelica dahurica and ceruse in equal parts. Powder them; wash the face with a radish decoction, then make a paste with sheep's milk and apply to the affected place, washing it off next morning. If there is no sheep's milk, human milk may be used instead. — Gogeum Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Myeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Washed on at night and off in the morning, as the Nose chapter's sulphur is. The five medicinals are the white ones the tradition used to lighten a mark, and three of them are poisons. **Contains typhonium, litharge and ceruse, all toxic and absorbed through the skin. This must not be prepared.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
