Clinical commentary 臨床

The most-used fetus-quieting formula in the tradition, and its head is the classical pair — white atractylodes and scutellaria, the two herbs this chapter names again and again for securing a pregnancy. Around them the Four Substances rebuild, amomum and tangerine peel keep the building from stagnating, and perilla leaf frees the chest of a woman whose ribs are getting crowded. Notable that it is offered prophylactically, for the months when losses most often occurred. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
