Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治氣血虛而有火, 頭痛頭旋眼黑. 黃芪 一錢半, 羌活ㆍ黃栢(酒浸) 各一錢, 柴胡ㆍ升麻ㆍ生地黃ㆍ知母(幷酒浸) 各五分, 防風 二分半, 生甘草ㆍ灸甘草 各二分. 右剉, 水煎數沸, 入川芎ㆍ蔓荊子 各三分, 再煎至半, 食後溫服. 《東垣》
Translation
Treats headache with the head spinning and the eyes going black, where qi and blood are vacuous and there is fire. Astragalus 1 don 5 pun; notopterygium and phellodendron (wine-steeped) 1 don each; bupleurum, cimicifuga, fresh rehmannia and anemarrhena (all wine-steeped) 5 pun each; saposhnikovia 2 pun 5 ri; raw licorice and mix-fried licorice 2 pun each. Cut up and boil in water a few times; add chuanxiong and vitex fruit 3 pun each, boil again to half and take warm after food. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Du)
