Translation

Treats leaking armpits. Dried lycium root, dried multiflora rose root and licorice 2 nyang each; ceruse, phytolacca root and talc 1 nyang each. Powder them, mix with a little vinegar and smear it on; a slight sweat should come, then change the clothes and smear again — not more than three applications and it heals. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hyeop)

Clinical commentary 臨床

漏腋, leaking armpits — constant damp of the axillae, palms and soles that spoils the clothes. Talc and ceruse are the drying agents, and the instruction to change clothes between applications is part of the treatment. **Contains ceruse (lead carbonate), which is toxic. For external use only.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
