Translation

Treats Qi, essence, and Blood worn and expended, with tidal heat and night sweating. Deer antler and blast-fried aconite, 2.5 don each. Cut the above, make one packet, add 7 slices of ginger, decoct and take. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Heoro)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The formula's provocation is its indication — tidal heat and night sweats, the textbook signs of Yin fire, treated with antler and aconite. The chapter's reminder that in the truly emptied patient, even the heat is cold underneath. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
