Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治酒毒發黃. 苦匏子ㆍ苦葫蘆子各三七箇, 黃黍米三百粒, 安息香二皂子大. 右爲末, 取一字, 搐入鼻中, 滴盡黃水. 若過多則, 以黍穰燒灰, 麝香末各少許, 搐入鼻中, 立止. 《得效》

Translation

Treats alcohol toxin breaking out as yellowing. Bitter gourd seed and bitter bottle gourd seed 21 each, yellow broomcorn millet 300 grains, benzoin two pieces the size of a gleditsia seed. Powder them, take one ja and draw it into the nose, and the yellow water drips until spent. Should it be excessive, burn millet straw to ash and take a little of it with a little powdered musk, drawn into the nose, and it stops at once. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Hwangdal)

Clinical commentary 臨床

An antidote is built into the method: if too much yellow water comes, millet straw ash with a little musk is drawn into the nose and it stops at once. That the same grain supplies both the medicine and the counter is characteristic of these entries. **Bitter gourd seeds contain cucurbitacins and are toxic.
