Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
止消渴, 生津液. 乳糖 二十六兩, 淸蜜 十四兩, 烏梅肉 八兩, 生薑 五兩(取汁), 麝香 五分. 右先取淸蜜, 烏梅肉, 以水一斗五升, 熬至半濾去滓, 下乳糖熬, 候糖熔化, 入薑汁再熬, 乃入麝, 和勻, 每取一大匙, 新水調下, 日二三. 《類聚》
Translation
Stops wasting-thirst and engenders liquid and humor. Milk sugar 26 nyang; clear honey 14 nyang; mume flesh 8 nyang; fresh ginger 5 nyang (juiced); musk 0.5 don. First simmer the honey and mume flesh in 1.5 mal of water down to half and strain off the dregs; add the milk sugar and simmer until it melts; add the ginger juice and simmer again; then blend in the musk evenly.
